On Screen: Inuit Film and Video

As part of Concordia’s 2020 First Voices Week, the Inuit Futures in Arts Leadership project hosted a panel discussion, entitled “On Screen: Inuit Film and Video.” Featuring artists and filmmakers Glenn Gear, Nyla Innuksuk and asinnajaq, and moderated by Inuit Futures postdoctoral fellow, Reilley Bishop-Stall, the panel discussion covered topics including storytelling across a range of media, from the use of archival material to emergent technologies, the significance of sound and language, mentorship, youth engagement, and increasing access for Inuit artists and audiences.
