Laura Hodgins
Laura Hodgins is a white-settler from Sǫ̀mbak'è on Chief Drygeese Territory in Treaty 8 (Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.) Laura holds a MA in Art History from Concordia University and a BFA in Art History and Visual Studies from the University of Victoria. Her master’s thesis titled “A Concise and Critical Art History of the Northwest Territories” was completed in 2023. As a Northerner, Laura is passionate about fostering and promoting the arts north of the 60th parallel. Laura worked to organize the Arctic Arts Summit in June 2022 and happily continues to work for Inuit Futures in Arts Leadership: The Pilimmaksarniq / Pijariuqsarniq Project as a project coordinator.
STephanie Murray
Stephanie is a PhD student in the Humanities Interdisciplinary Program at Concordia University. She holds a Master of Architectural Studies in history and theory, a professional Master of Architecture degree and a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Her creative practice centres on site specific mixed media installations that negotiate the space between site and body. After finishing her degree in Fine Arts, she moved to Whitehorse, Yukon, where she worked for LuMel Studios, and two architecture firms: Northern Front Studio and Kobayashi + Zedda Architects. Her current research interests are grounded in representations of site that generate identity and spatial narratives.
